Skyblox

So I tested out Skyblox today because it was on the frontpage and seemed very interesting.

The first time joining Skyblox I didn't know what to expect really because it just seemed like some game that isn't that special but very interesting. But my opinion changed immediately after I got the mechanics.

What annoyed me is that there's no tutorial within the game so I spent about 5 minutes trying to figure out what to do here. It's actually more simple than you think. You have this small little island that you live on and you can evolve it into something more bigger and more beautiful as you progress through the game.

The first thing I did was exploring the world inside of this game. I saw a tree and some crops and it said exactly which button I had to press which is nice because I wouldn't have figured this out by myself. Then I saw a purple portal which I walked through and I came to another part of the Skyblox world where I was able to sell crops I harvested and wood, which I did and I made money out of this. With this money I was able to buy new seeds like tomatoes, carrots and a lot more and if you plant this you can make even more money.

Theres also a day/night system which in my opinion is really, really cool! It just transforms your island at night and it makes it look magical.

You can also craft things with material you find across the map such as wood, iron and much other things. You can even transform certain material if you craft the campfire which is super cool. It's an amazing feature if you have certain things you want to build in this game like houses or a farm or something.

It's a new way to be creative.

What did turn me off was that there was a "firework update" which you had to use robux for. I do not know what the fireworks do but I wouldn't pay money for it unless it does something epic with your gameplay.

I also really liked the music and soundeffects in this game. I figured out that if you chat with people inside of the game, you will hear a talking sound, which is pretty cool and makes the game feel really alive to me. Not many, if not any, ROBLOX games have this and that's a massive originality point.

Personally, I feel like this game is kinda slow to get into. It took me quite a while before I figured out how to make money fast and once I figured it out it went pretty easy. I think the more money you have the easier it will be to make even more money.

This is not the best game I've played but it's definitely in my top 10 of best ROBLOX games I've ever played. It's pretty fun and you can invite other people to check out your island as well.

I'm giving this game an overall score of 9/10. I loved playing this game, I don't get bored. The only issue I had was that I felt like it was slow to get into. I spent atleast a full hour figuring out how to play this game but other than that it was pretty fun.
