Royale High

So today I tried out the popular ROBLOX game Royale High. I heard many debates, people saying this game is the best game on this platform and people absolutely hating on it. I decided to check it out for myself so we can see if this game is really as good/bad as people are saying. Making this my second review on this blog :)

Starting off with the first time joining this game, I got to this world with a ferris wheel, not knowing what to do here, I checked out the menu for a bit. Here I saw a "teleport" button and I teleported to Earth because I wanted to check out what they did with it. Here I got to a world with mainly shops but also with a wheel and if you spin this you can get a present. I just spinned this and had the choice to pick between 2 chests and I went with the darker one. I got an item called "Ocean Ears" which I used to customize my character with. I took 10 minutes to create this character because there's a lot of customization options in the game.

After I felt like my character was finished I wanted to teleport to "Royale High" and here I got the option to go to new or classic campus, I didn't know the difference so I went with new at first and went with classic later.

New campus

I was able to visit new campus where I found lockers when I entered the building so I got a locker here and through this way I got my books. I saw some people fly and had no idea how to do this so I instantly assumed I had to buy wings. Until a nice and friendly person here told me I had to double tap space, so I did that and I flied around where I found the dorms. I claimed one and could pick either a blue or a pink dorm. I checked out both. The pink dorm is a lot bigger in size than the blue one. The blue one is more comfy in my opinion so I went with that one. When I joined this game it was night in-game so all I could do was walk around & explore a bit. So I just explored the map a little bit, found this place where you could buy foods, found a swimming pool and much more. I felt hungry so I bought chocolate covered in banana which is pretty cheap in game. I noticed I was left with less than 50 diamonds which is kinda sad because there's not many cheap items in this game if we're talking about customization options. Food is pretty cheap. I tried to shop around a bit and realized we could buy shoes, skirts, wings and accessoiries, there's plenty of options to choose from. After the night passed and I was done exploring the map, I had to attend these classes. Now, I do not like school so I was a little skeptical about this. I attended my very first class in this game which was PE, so basically sports. It started off with a "pop the balloons for a reward" thing so I did this and got awarded with diamonds which come in quite handy. My second class was English which was basically a popquiz to test how good your spelling is. My next class was baking. I didn't know what to expect here but apparently we made cupcakes which was quite fun to do. All you do is click things and you can even keep the cupcakes or give them to others. I had enough time so I made them twice and had 12 total cupcakes of which I gave 6 to other people and kept 6 for myself to eat at lunch. Swimming class was next and you had to jump over moving obstacles. The class after this was Chemistry where you basically only click potions in the right order. Lunch was next so I could buy something or eat my self-made cupcakes, which I did the last thing. I took one bite of my cupcake and these bubble things showed up so I could get nice diamonds again so I popped them, got 97 diamonds and realized I was closer to buying something. Computer class was next and what you had to do here was type the letters as fast as u could, I had a score of 112 because I type relatively quickly and I can type blindly. Art class was the last class I had to finish and all I did there was correctly memorizing the painting and drawing it like how it was supposed to be drawed. I was done relatively quickly. After class was done I had to go back to my dorm and do my homework, everyone's favourite thing. So I opened up the computer, did the homework I was supposed to do (which is only pressing arrows btw, super easy) and was done in less than a minute. After all my homework was turned in I realized I was level 2 and had over 500 diamonds. At 8 PM (in-game time) there was a prom that lasted until midnight. I had quite a lot of fun in this game mode.

Classic Campus

At first I was quite confused as to what the difference was between classic campus and new campus. As soon as I entered classic I saw the difference immediately, the map is completely different. I did keep my diamonds so that's good. It was the same process everytime: Just repeatedly going to classes and ending the day with a massive prom where a king and queen would be chosen. The map in my opinion was also a bit smaller so it was easier to find things and explore it. It took way less time and there was no lag. It was quite fun to experience. I can't type a lot more about this mode because it's the same thing as new campus with a few differences here and there.

Enchantix High

While reading this name I instantly thought of Winx Club, something I watched as a kid. I didn't really know what to do here, I could pick a magic so I picked Music because I absolutely love music! I didn't really understand what I had to do in this gamemode and I got bored of it relatively quickly. However, I did find out it was indeed Winx Club based which was kinda cool I guess.

Fantasia Hotel

I didn't really know what to do in this gamemode and I booked a room which costed me diamonds. I couldn't find my room so I decided to explore and found a garden, which is absolutely beautiful! I really enjoyed exploring it. The only thing that I felt like doing here was relaxing and escaping from school life. Other than that, the place itself was really nice.

Beach House

Beach house is exactly what it's name implies: A house with a beach. I personally felt like there wasn't really anything to do here other than relaxing.

Archery

Now this is more of my type of game. You could participate in a pvp styled archery match where you could also get EXP. The exp in this game you can use for getting new crown designs which I felt like was a really cool feature and addition to the game. It makes it "less" roleplay and more fighting related.

Divinia Park

Divinia Park is a gamemode where all you do is basically explore. It's a massive park that really looks beautiful. I found this massive fountain where I was able to do a wish and I got exp from this so it was really fun to do. There also was a river I fell in where the only thing I saw was grass. Then I stumbled upon this treasure chest and I got 500 diamonds from that. Which meant I had about 1000 diamonds right now.

Sunset Island

Again nothing special I thought, until I realized this was some sort of fashion contest. Entering the place I found a crate which gave me some flower. It was a fashion contest where you can pick who you think looks best. If you get 1st in this contest u get 1000 diamonds which means you make quick cash here. I decided to take my shot and participate in one of these fashion contests. I had about 10 minutes to dress up for a theme, which was pool party. 10 minutes is a lot of time in my opinion but I just rolled with it and dressed up according to the theme. Then it was voting time and obviously I didn't win because I was the newbie. I don't know if this is for everyone but when you don't have a lot of clothes, people usually look down on you in this game. Other than that this gamemode was fun to participate in.

Trading Hub & Apartments.

Trading Hub is basically where you can trade with others, there really isn't much to say about this. In the apartment you basically have your own place to live where you can host parties. You also have a pc that if you go here daily you get free diamonds, which is a sort login bonus which I really liked. I was also able to add my own songs to the radio found in my room, which is another thing I really liked because if you don't like the games music you can just listen to your own instead.

My opinion.

From what I've heard on social media and basically everywhere that's roblox related I do often hear people label this game as bad. I can say it's not bad, it's actually kinda fun if you're into princes, princesses, mermaids and roleplay. This was not really my kinda game, but it was fun to explore every gamemode and see how much hard work the developers put into this game to make it look as beautiful as it was. The maps looked fantastic and I really felt as if I was walking through a fairytale on ROBLOX. I would rate this game with a 7/10. Like I said, it really isn't my sort of game but I do respect the amount of dedication and hard work the developers put into this game, it looked really beautiful and I loved exploring it.
